christmas candle remembrance, baby loss poetry

A Mama's Christmas Wish...

Does your sleigh reach the stars Santa, because I have an Angel up there.
I wanted so badly to buy them a gift, to let them know how much I still care.
If your sleigh can reach the stars Santa, would you take my present bought with love.
I wrapped it so carefully and sealed it with my tears, I'd give anything to go with you, to my baby above.
Santa looked on at me, this broken mama on her knees, with such sorrow and despair,
It breaks my heart to let your gift go unwrapped mama, when life has already been so unfair.
I'll be sure to ride the wintery breeze to the glistening stars where your baby lay,
I'll send them a gift and all of your love, they will not be forgotten, this Christmas day.
But the gift I will send them, needs no paper or bow, it is the greatest gift to give,
I will tell them how their mama still beats their heart for them, because of you sweet baby, they continue to live.
I will tell them how much you love them, and how your arms ache to hold them once more,
I will tell them how bravely you protect them, how fiercely your love runs, deep to your core.
There is no greater gift then remembrance, to hear their name spoken with adoration and so loud,
This Christmas, their memory wrapped in love, I smile gently, because you're doing each other so proud.
